I have now come to the conclusion that the wonderful review of The Listing Lighthouse, allegedly by Ottessa Moshfegh, was a scam. The conclusion was reached after I received another wonderful review of my most recent book, A Partriche in a Peer Tree. This one was from another author, allegedly Katherine Bogner. When I checked out Ms Bogner, I knew she would not be reading my work as her books seem to be conservative Roman Catholic praise books. These are sly communications that come little by little until eventually one realizes it is about paying for marketing of one's books. I do wonder if these authors know that their names and identities are being used in this way. I do understand why people might be taken in. Thankfully, although curious, I tend to be cautious about gratuitous praise from people I do not know. This blog is for the purpose of reporting on past and future shows I have or will be performing in. Since 2019, these plays are monologues that I have written. Theatre on a shoe-string budget requires all the help it can get from social media. I trained as an actor and performed professionally in the 1970s before becoming a lawyer in the 1980s. In the 1990s and early 2000s, I performed occasionally , taking up theatre (monologues) again after my retirement from the practice of law in 2015.
